HR Business Partner (Technology) 

Position Overview: This role will be a strategic partner to our Tech business groups within our organization. You are skilled at using both qualitative and quantitative data to perform root cause analysis, identify trends, and influence innovative strategies. You have a deep understanding of the tech organizations that you support and can guide your business leaders on talent planning, organizational & workforce planning, identify coaching opportunities and work to ensure employees are staying engaged and developing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their strategic objectives and provide HR insights and recommendations to support their goals
  • Act as a liaison between HR and business functions, ensuring effective communication and alignment of HR programs and initiatives
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution to promote a positive work environment
  • Lead talent management efforts, including workforce planning, succession planning, and talent acquisition to ensure the organization has the right talent in place to achieve its objectives
  • Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives by partnering with business leaders to develop and implement action plans to foster a positive and inclusive workplace
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance overall organizational performance
  • Partner with the Learning and Development team to identify training needs and develop relevant programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities
  • Manage and facilitate employee performance reviews and goal-setting processes in collaboration with managers
  • Stay current with HR best practices, legal requirements, and industry trends to ensure compliance and proactively address potential HR issues
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing HR processes, systems, and policies

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years as a HR Business Partner
  • Previous experience partnering with Engineering and Product organizations is a must
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
  • Strong consultative mentality and ability to influence
  • Strong service orientation and customer focus
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams with minimal direction
  • Proven organizational and planning skills
  • Able to adapt to an evolving environment
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and partner with business leaders to drive organizational success
  • Proficient in HRIS systems (Workday is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Salary Range: $110,000 to $130,000. The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
